Furvax Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 28, 2026
Who we are
Furvax is operated by David Legacy Software, a trade name of Mason David Ventures L.L.C., Wendell, North Carolina, USA ("we", "us"). Furvax is an app that keeps a pet's vaccines, medications, preventives, vet visits and weight in one place and reminds you before anything is due. It records what you and your vet did. It does not give advice. Questions about this policy: support@getfurvax.app.
Summary
- Without an account, everything you enter stays on your phone. The only data that leaves it is anonymous usage data and crash reports, which you can turn off.
- With an optional account (an email address and a code we send you) and Furvax Pro, your records can sync to our servers in the United States and be shared with the people in your household.
- We do not sell your data. There is no advertising and no tracking of you across other apps or sites.
What we collect
"Linked to you" means we can connect the data to your account or identity.
| Data type | Why | Where it is stored | How long | Linked to you? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Email address | Sign in with a code, and household invites | Supabase (accounts and database), Resend (sends the email) | Until you delete your account. An invite email address is removed with the household or when the owner hands the household over | Yes |
| Account and household ids | Keep your account, household and purchases together | Supabase; RevenueCat (your account id is the subscriber id) | Supabase copies end when you delete your account. RevenueCat keeps its own record (see Delete your account) | Yes |
| Pet profiles and records (synced) | Sync between your devices and household members (Pro, signed in) | Supabase database in the United States | While the household exists. Items in Recently deleted sync as deleted markers and are removed when the household is deleted | Yes |
| Notes and free text typed by the user | Notes, conditions, markings, microchip numbers, vet names, clinics and phone numbers you type, saved with your records | Supabase, only when you sync | Same as synced records. Free text can hold anything you type, so type only what you want kept | Yes |
| Pet avatars and record photos (synced) | Show pet pictures and record photos on every device in the household | Supabase Storage, private, readable only by household members | While the household exists. Location data in a photo is removed on your phone before it is saved | Yes |
| Purchase history | Know whether Pro is active, restore purchases, handle refunds | App Store or Google Play, RevenueCat, and Supabase (event id, type, time; no price or card data) | The stores and RevenueCat keep their own purchase records. After you delete your account, our event rows no longer carry your id | Yes at the stores and RevenueCat; no in our event rows after deletion |
| Anonymous analytics events | Learn which parts of the app are used and fix problems | PostHog (United States cloud) | Up to 7 years on our current plan | No, not linked |
| Crash reports | Find and fix crashes and errors | Sentry | 30 days, then deleted | No, not linked |
| Local-only data | The app itself: your pets and records on your phone | Your phone; your own backup file; your Apple or Google device backup | Until you erase the phone's data in the app or uninstall. Recently deleted items stay until you choose Delete forever | No, we do not receive it |
We do not collect your location, your contacts or an advertising identifier. We do not use session replay or screenshots. We never see your payment card; Apple and Google handle payment.
Anonymous analytics and crash reports
Anonymous analytics and crash reports are on by default. They contain counts and app errors only: for example that a pet was added and its species, or that a sync failed. They never contain pet names, records, notes, vet details, photos, your email, or your account or household ids.
They use a random install id created on your phone. The id is never joined with your account: analytics are not linked to you, and the id is never joined with your account data. The random id is replaced when you use Erase this device.
To turn them off, open Settings, find the section "Anonymous data", and switch off "Share anonymous usage and crash data". Turning it off stops both analytics and crash reports. The choice is kept when you restart the app.
Furvax is offered in the United States and Canada.
Sync and household sharing
Sync and household sharing are part of Furvax Pro and need an account. When you sync, your pets, records, notes, avatars and photos are stored in Supabase in the United States, protected so that only members of your household can read them. Everyone in a household can read and edit its shared pets. If you choose "Keep on this device only" for a pet, it is not synced. When a member leaves or is removed, they keep a local copy on their own phone and the records they added stay in the household.
Purchases
Subscriptions are sold by the Apple App Store or Google Play. RevenueCat manages subscriptions for us. When you are signed in, your account id is your RevenueCat subscriber id. Your purchases are also recorded by the App Store or Google Play under their own policies. We store only the purchase event id, type and time on our servers.
We send two kinds of email through Resend: the sign-in code you ask for, and household invitations an owner asks us to send. An invitation shows the owner's email address to the invitee and uses the invitee's address as typed by the owner. We send no marketing email and no tracking pixels.
Our website
The pages at getfurvax.app (this policy, the terms and the delete-account page) are hosted by Cloudflare. Visiting them sends Cloudflare your web request, as with any website. No app data is sent to it.
Backups
You can export a backup file and keep it where you choose; we do not receive it. On Android, Auto Backup to your Google account carries only the app database. On iPhone, your device backup may include the app's data under Apple's rules.
Children
Furvax is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Your choices and rights
You can use Furvax without an account. You can turn off anonymous data in Settings, delete items (they go to Recently deleted first), export a backup, and delete your account. To ask about the data we hold about you, or to correct it, write to support@getfurvax.app. Depending on where you live you may have further rights to access, correct or delete your data; we will respond to such requests.
Delete your account
Can't open the app? Email privacy@davidlegacysoftware.com from the email address on your Furvax account and ask us to delete it. We reply to that address to confirm, and we delete the account only after you confirm there, so we know the request is yours. We delete the account and everything synced to it, then email you when it is done: within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
Never signed in? Your pets' records live only on your phone and we hold no copy; deleting the app deletes them. If "Anonymous data" is on (it is by default), the app also sends usage events and crash reports tied to a random install ID, never to your name or email. Turn it off in Settings to stop this. Because that ID is not linked to you, we cannot find its past data from an email alone.
In the app: Settings, then Account, then Delete account. You can also read the steps at https://getfurvax.app/delete-account (the page is /delete-account on our website).
- If you are the only person in the household, we delete the household's synced records, invites, memberships and stored photos, and then your sign-in account.
- If other people are in the household, ownership passes to the longest-standing member. Your membership and entitlement end. No record or photo is touched.
- If you are a member, your membership ends. Records you added stay in the household.
- You choose whether the copy on your phone is kept or erased.
What stays: the App Store or Google Play keep their own purchase records. RevenueCat keeps its own subscriber record under its retention rules; we do not ask RevenueCat to delete it. Our event rows keep an id, a type and a time but no longer your account id. Ids without a name or email, shown as created by or updated by on remaining household records, stay. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription; cancel it in the App Store or Google Play.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date above. If a change affects how we use data you gave us, we will tell you in the app.
